Jay-Son Low

Born in Malaysia, Jay-Son’s family moved to Tacoma, Washington when he was 8 years old.  He graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, Class of 1996.  His career experience include being a management consultant within the healthcare and high tech industries; a Vice President of Credit and Lending for an international bank; and is currently the President of Dragon Entertainment, a marketing company with emphasis in the Asian American demographic; and a real estate professional specializing in commercial and investment properties and development.

In addition to being the Owner/Operator of Satay Malaysian Grille and SATAY in Las Vegas, Jay-Son is a partner in Emerging Market Development, LLC, which developed, operated, and divested The Loft Night Club and 21 Commerce martini bar & restaurant and is currently the parent company of Varsity Grill sports bar & restaurant (www.varsitygrill.com) and Cans bar & comedy club (www.myspace.com/cansofbeer) both located in Downtown Tacoma, Washington.

 




Jan-Ie Cho

Jan-Ie is Jay-Son’s sister and the General Manager of Satay.  She is a graduate of University of Washington, with a Degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing.  Upon graduation, she joined a hi-tech company in Seattle as a Human Resources professional.  Within a matter of a few years, she rose to the ranks of Senior HR Manager, and joined Fortune 500 companies the likes of AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile.  Because of her passion for the food industry, she owned a catering company for over a decade.  Today, she has left corporate America and is instrumental in the day-to-day success of Satay.  Jan-Ie is currently an active member of the Asian Chamber Commerce, a volunteer for the Foundation for the Positively Kids, a lifeskills coach for the Summer Business Institute Program (Clark County) and a Board of Advisor for the Henderson Host Lions International.

Jan-Ie's accomplishment included the Asian Chamber of Commerce's "2007 Public Service Person of the Year" Award for her work with the Foundation for the Positively Kids.
